Julia graduated with Honours in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 2003. She then went on to work at the prestigious Manor Private Hospital in Oxford, England for three years. It was here that she worked alongside some of the best Orthopaedic surgeons treating patients pre and post operatively for shoulder, hip, knee and back conditions.
While in England, she completed the extensive Pilates courses at the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute in London. In 2008 Julia returned to Cape Town and worked at the well-known Sports Science Institute in Newlands while completing a year-long post graduate diploma in Orthopaedic Manipulative Therapy. In 2009 she started her own practice.
Julia is very passionate about what she does, and stays up to date with evidence-based treatments by attending courses and reading in her field.
Her goal is to get you back to what you enjoy as fast as possible. She does this by being a keen listener, pin-pointing your problem, and giving the best form of treatment, whether this be hands-on treatment or rehabilitation. Julia is also an avid runner, mom to three boys and loving wife.
